I went for the movie, thinking it will be the usual mishmash mess of rehashed Hollywood thrillers. And Boy, was I surprised! Right from the opening sequence till the credits, I kept thinking that Hindi action movies have finally come of age. Saif has shed his chocolatey image by adding a few kilos and sinews and is good in action sequences. Paisa vasool movie. Wont mind seeing it again in theatre.

Decent Indian Spy povie. Comparing it with Bond or Bourne would be stupid. The visual effects was pathetic, the chopper shot of the climax was such a shame. Having said that... Saif was smooth, Locations were good, Story had a vintage feel... a tad too long though. All in All, I can say this is by far the best Indian spy movie so far. 3.5 for the effort.

Simply put, paisa vasool. so far the best hindi action-spy movie I have seen. Good effort by SAK. But director babu, this is not gandhi to make movie soooooo long. keep the mvie short and crisp!! not ovrcooked!otherwise, a good watch.

There were reports in the media before the movie got released that since Saif was the main producer for this movie he was interfering a lot, in the making of the film..fair enough, after all you are pumping in your money, you definitely want it to be the way you want, but theres the catch...What about the creative freedom of Sriram Raghavan? it seems that somewhere along this overzealous journey of overindulgence of Saif the entire creative processes led by Sriram Raghavan were mighty disturbed. It is very evident that Sriram Rghavans magic touch was only visible in parts, not in its entirety, the man who gave such slick hits as Ek Haseena Thi , Jhonny Gaddar there was much wanting in almost all areas of this muddled project. Sorry pals..this movie sucked big time!!! But still I wud give it an average rating for the bravery shown by Saif to make an completely desi version of a bond film!!

After not growing on Saturday, film really disappointed everyone with its Sunday collections as it came lower than all the predictions and expectations. Film is now a great debacle as it has not found any taker, be it multiplexes or single screen. Film fell down badly from afternoon shows on Sunday and collections were lower than Friday. Film further collected bad 4 cr plus figure on Monday which was all crucial. Film fell more than 60% and now first week looks like to finish around 40 cr nett which is dismal. Film got bad word of mouth so any sudden escalation in collections is almost impossible. Now even after decent amount from music and satellite rights film will find it tough to break even. This is a big heart break for Saif and Kareena Kapoor who invested a lot of time, energy and money in this dream venture.

now that's how we should be making action movies made me feel proud in a picture hall fill with Indians and equal number of Scottish people. Can anyone see a pattern that most of the girls didn't like this, I guess most of them have been used to no-brainer movies , now this is the one that requires you to tickle those grey-cells. It is a pathetic movie, wastage of time , money and a weekend where you could have done so much more..... the movie has style but no substance at all ...... I mean its utterly rubbish..... we donot want 70s style thriller Mr. Raghavan.... I cannot believe this is the same guy who made ek hasina thi and jhonny gaddar.... the movie revolves mindlessly in 9 countries.... then there is senseless pathetic mujra by bimbo kareena.... plus the end scene the helicopter scene is so so artificial...overall its a faltu movie...not worth wasting time on..... if there would have been an option of negative marking would have done that .........I am highly dissapointed .....

Finally Indian Cinema has grown up and able to produce movie for international audience, latest example is Agent Vinod, what a movie, what movie, ist, doesn't seems like at all we are watching an Indian movie, its got picturised in almost in 10 Countries with local actors, which normally we find in Hollywood movie. phenomenal acting by Saif as RAW Agent, Kareena is Best as best as usual, mind blowing and honking direction by Sriram Raghvan. Paise do maze lo, woh bhi muft ka, lovely track composed by Pritam....

I think it is a great film and not less than what hollywood serves such as the bourne films. I did find it irritating that they did not show how Saif and Kareena reach delhi from Karachi but overall a great effort

I agree with all the positive comments. this movie is differently tried & executed. Something refreshing and never been attempted before. Kudos to the director Sriram for amazing camera work & storyline. 5 on 5 from my side. Strongly recommending to watch it.

We were in two minds as to see this movie or not. Whether it would turn out to be a dud like Ra.one. Whether it would be a waste of money or an entertainment. But after having watched the movie, we would say it has a grip which kept us in the seat from start to end. The movie is fast pacing and gripping, the actions are engaging, songs are pleasant to hear, the locations are new and exotic. Not sure why everyone is comparing it to MI4, James Bond, or others. I loved it as it, without any prejudice. Felt good that instead of main plot revolving around New York /London/ Los Angeles or somewhere in US/UK, the plot revolves around our own beautiful Delhi. All in all the movie was a paisa wasool and a very good entertainer. My whole family loved it and son is planning to see it again.

The VFX of the film is being widely discussed and even appreciated by those who form opinions based on promos. But the climax features Saif piloting a chopper that nails aerial somersaults to celebrate the bomb's diffusion. The point being, this chopper looks like a remote controlled toy being maneuvered by an inebriated person.

A very common Quote-Style with no Substance applies correctly for Mr Vinod.A series of seemingly unconnected events across the world leads to Agent Vinod undertaking a globe-trotting mission to discover why his colleague was murdered.Saif Khan looks really superb in Suits but when it comes to dialogue or Action it always kept me hunting and seems that the role is not perfect for him.

Awesome!!..Dunno why if someone tries something new in this country,everyone tries to pull it down? If bond or jason can kill 20 guys,n come out alive,thats okay,but if AV does the same,that's not acceptable to them(hypocrisy!)..when will we start appreciating our things??... And its for the 1st time someone has showcased India's extrnl intelligence agency RAW(many ppl didnt even know what RAW IS..) We always say that they ve got CIA,fbi,kgb,etc..now we can proudly say we've got.. RAW! P.S: Don't expect anythg romantic,and u'll enjoy the movie..first half will leave u a bit confused( like..what's this story?),but wait for d 2nd half..u ll love it!...n don't go by critics,just watch it

The action in the film is choreographed slickly, but you can't help feeling a tad let down. In these days of visceral fight scenes and breathless chases that you're accustomed to seeing in the Bourne, Bond, and Mission Impossible movies, the rapid editing of the action sequences here never allows you to take in the repercussions of the violence. ReplyDeleteBestever one liner or word type or any craking dialoges of various of bollywood masala movies actorwise are as below.again highly intelectual & oversmart people may not like it 1)Don(1978)-(Amirhabh-karne do don ka inezar to gyaraha mulk ki pulice kar rahi he lekin don pakadna mushkil hi nahi na mumkin he) Infact amithabh with his magic voice has delivered so many memorable dialoges alongwith writer salim-javed,kadarkhan.list of movies are very long for e.g.deewar.don.trishul,sholay,lawarish,herapheri(1977),amar akbar anthony,agneepath,mukadar ka sikandar,mr. natwarlal,anand,namakharam,kala pathhar,shan etc. 2)Dharmendra-sholay-gabbarsing main aa raha hoo.list is long 3)Rajkumar-jin ke apne ghar shishe ke hote he woh auro ke makan pe pathhar nahi dalte.-list is very long 4)Salman-wanted-ek bar jo maine commitment kar li uske bad me kisi ki nahi sunta-salman has also has few great dialoges in his kitty. 5)Sunny deol-ghayal,damini,arjun,ghatak,jeet 6)sharukh-kkkkkkkkiran,bazigar,anjam very good actor but list is not long 7)Shatrughna sinha-Khamosh-list is very long 8)Om puri-ardh satya- 9)Nana patekar-parinda,ab tak chapan 10)Ranbeer kapoor-Very good actor but unfortunatly-nil 11)Hritik Roshan-Very good actor but unfortunatly-nil 12)Ammirkhan-sarforosh ,andaj apna apna very good actor but list is not long 13)Abhisek-in yuva,dhoom,dum maro dum,sarkar,sarkarraj,guru very good actor but list is not long himself to blame for doing of huge numbers of bad or bogus movies.That is why he is flop. 14)ajay devgan-gangajal,shaid bhagat singh list long 15)sanjay dutt-vastav-new agneepath-list is long
ReplyDeleteWe were in two minds as to see this movie or not. Whether it would turn out to be a dud like Ra.one. Whether it would be a waste of money or an entertainment. But after having watched the movie, we would say it has a grip which kept us in the seat from start to end. The movie is fast pacing and gripping, the actions are engaging, songs are pleasant to hear, the locations are new and exotic. Not sure why everyone is comparing it to MI4, James Bond, or others. I loved it as it, without any prejudice. Felt good that instead of main plot revolving around New York /London/ Los Angeles or somewhere in US/UK, the plot revolves around our own beautiful Delhi. All in all the movie was a paisa wasool and a very good entertainer. My whole family loved it and son is planning to see it again.
ReplyDeleteThe VFX of the film is being widely discussed and even appreciated by those who form opinions based on promos. But the climax features Saif piloting a chopper that nails aerial somersaults to celebrate the bomb's diffusion. The point being, this chopper looks like a remote controlled toy being maneuvered by an inebriated person.
ReplyDeleteA very common Quote-Style with no Substance applies correctly for Mr Vinod.A series of seemingly unconnected events across the world leads to Agent Vinod undertaking a globe-trotting mission to discover why his colleague was murdered.Saif Khan looks really superb in Suits but when it comes to dialogue or Action it always kept me hunting and seems that the role is not perfect for him.

If bond or jason can kill 20 guys,n come out alive,thats okay,but if AV does the same,that's not acceptable to them(hypocrisy!)..when will we start appreciating our things??... And its for the 1st time someone has showcased India's extrnl intelligence agency RAW(many ppl didnt even know what RAW IS..) We always say that they ve got CIA,fbi,kgb,etc..now we can proudly say we've got.. RAW! P.S: Don't expect anythg romantic,and u'll enjoy the movie..first half will leave u a bit confused( like..what's this story?),but wait for d 2nd half..u ll love it!...n don't go by critics,just watch it

In these days of visceral fight scenes and breathless chases that you're accustomed to seeing in the Bourne, Bond, and Mission Impossible movies, the rapid editing of the action sequences here never allows you to take in the repercussions of the violence. What cripples the film even further is its uneven pacing

ReplyDeletewhat happened to our new generation directors/ producers/actors i do not know.Why they are not creative?.they are simply trying to copy from hollywood classic or bollywood classic action thriller.Prime example are Don,don-2,players,agneepath,Ra.one.now another bollywood classic of salim-javed & amithabh's zanzeer remake is going to happened.Aslo golamal (1979) another classic comedy movie in the name of bol bachan.I ask them to watch creative action thriller of ammir gajani & sarforosh pure bollywood movie.

ReplyDeleteAamir's most movies are copied from hollywwod and bollywood. Starting from Qayamat se qayamat tak , Akele hum akele tum , jo jeeta wohi sikander , Ghulam , Raja Hindustani , Ghajini , even 3i ( Remake of Munnabhai ), Mann. only orginals are RDB , Safarosh , lagaan and tZP.

ReplyDelete@Anonymousif you are right that all ammir's movies are copied from hollywood but still it looks original.that is what i want to say nothing wrong in one can copy bollywood or hollywood movies but it should be made in proper manner so people feel that it is original.but what actually happened that most of our producers/directors/actors has lost the creativity.that is why making remakes or copy of classic bollywood & hollywood movies & by doing so they gives us mixture type movies which are niether bollywood nor hollywood type movies & due to that movies faltered at box office.

But there were flashes of genius in Kareena's cleavage though. I could have a conversation with those two. But Agent Vinod clearly belongs to LIC, he is boring material
